Dear European Youth Orchestra Friends. The London Youth Symphony form Canada is preparing to perform, travel, and share in Europe again. Previous tours took us to Poland in 1999 and to Austria and Italy in 2002. In 2006, we hope to participate in the Cantus Festival in Salzburg, the International Festival in Vienna, and then??? We have never had the opportunity to visit with, billet with, and play with a European youth orchestra. Are there any in Austria, Prague, or Germany that would be willing to work with me to make this happen within the first three weeks of July (summer of 2006)? Eagerly hoping for a reply - Daina Janitis (manager of LYS and travel planner) lysymphony@hotmail.com 11.04.05 Eurochestries Festivals Orchestra Recruitment
Dates : From the 08 to 18th July
The Eurochestries were created in 1989 in order to promote orchestral practice through international exchange. The Festival offers opportunities for each visiting orchestra to perform music from its own national heritage and repertory in public concerts. Moreover, during the Festival, international orchestras will be formed by mixing up the individual orchestras. These "international" orchestras will rehearse ready for performance in the final concert. This concept gives every young person the chance to work with different conductors alongside musicians from many countries. The Festival takes charge of :
- Accomodation and full board
- Welcome staff
- Touristic and leisure activities
- National media-diffusion
- Professional audio-reccording of the main concerts
We are looking for a Symphonic Youth Orchestra for the Eurochestries Festival 2005 in France, department Vienne, City Lencloitre near Poitiers
